NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JobDiva, Inc.®(www.JobDiva.com), the proven technology leader in the staffing industry, today announced its participation in an ongoing study performed by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) evaluating E-Verify, the free Internet-based system that allows businesses to determine the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
JobDiva participated in the study in conjunction with its client Axelon Service Corp., a leading national full-service staffing company. The study is being performed by research firm Westat, on behalf of the USCIS, interviewing human resources managers "to help the U.S. government better understand the experiences of workers with the job application process."

Launched as a pilot program in 1997, E-Verify is used today by about seven percent of US employers as a free, voluntary, Internet-based application to quickly compare information from Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9 against U.S. government records. For staffing organizations, JobDiva seamlessly integrated access to E-Verify within its web-based staffing software that combines a powerful Applicant Tracking System, a Customer Relationship Management application, back-office financial tools, and much more.

While only 38 percent of staffing buyers require staffing firms to use E-Verify, according to Staffing Industry Analysts, JobDiva has been a staunch proponent of industry adoption.
Today, more than 404,295 employers use the E-Verify, according to the USCIS' most recent tally. Furthermore, based on a survey by the Center for Immigration Studies, a total of 20 states require the use of E-Verify for at least some public and/or private employers, with many other states considering similar mandates.
However, comprehensive immigration reform currently before Congress includes a provision that would require all employers to participate in an enhanced E-Verify-type program. If passed, mandatory compliance would be phased in over the subsequent five years, determined by company size.
