Using JobDiva helps us to service our clients both with their short term needs and their short term needs. A lot of times our clients needs something as soon as possible. They need us to be able turn around something within minutes or a couple of hours. JobDiva has helped us access previous candidates that we have spoken to in the past in a really short time period. At the same time because of the large extent it goes back for years and years. We are also able to go and hands pick the candidates that are harder to find.
JobDiva has something which they the call mappings, which is they have these general words that you type and it matches to a whole plethora of different vocabulary within resumes. For example, they might have something like insurance companies and it will tag to all the insurance companies that are big. This is really, really very helpful when searching for a specific type of industry or a certain type of set of skills because it helps us access the resumes with the specific industry or skill within minutes.
I came to Mitchell Martin as a new recruiter, brand new to the industry. I started to use JobDiva as my first recruiting database. I found it extremely easy to learn it and learn the different tricks and tools and the way to use it but I also found the JobDiva staff to be very helpful. Any time we had a question, we were able to go to them and they would either make improvements on it and explain the intricacies of the application.
You can also access JobDiva from home because it is based on the web and the internet so I found this to be really, really helpful. Late at night I am able to check what we call a hot list. It kind of puts together all the candidates that you have spoken to for a certain period of time and I’ve been able to see people and find new candidates as soon as they post in real time and get them before the other recruiters who might be at home sleeping. I get to call them.
I’ve been on a couple of vacations since I started here. At one point I was away for maybe one week and a half. Having JobDiva on the web has really helped. I have been able to go on and check and see any updates on interviews, and any updates with other people helping out my job needs. During my vacation I went and checked online and saw that a couple of my placements had come through. It was a vacation. It was a good vacation. JobDiva gives new recruiters somewhat of an advantage because the people who have not been accustomed to getting faxes with resumes and shuffling them off, people who are from the 21st century. I guess they are a little bit more comfortable with the computer and application and I think that it makes it so much easier. I definitely have an advantage.
